Why we exist

This is a category sold on a photograph, a colour and a number printed on a carton.

That number is usually a weight capacity, and it is worth understanding what it is not. A rating with a published test behind it means something and comes with a document. A figure printed on a box means nothing at all. And even a real rating is a static load — what actually breaks chairs is somebody dropping into one, which is a dynamic impact several times higher than the person’s weight.

We would rather talk about the pivot, the gauge and the glide, because those are the three things that decide whether you are buying these chairs again in five years.

What we actually make

Steel folding chairs on a stated gauge with shouldered pivots. Blow-moulded resin chairs with UV-stabilised shells for anything that lives outdoors or gets hosed down. Padded chairs built so the seat pad can be replaced without scrapping the frame. Hardwood chairs with glued and mechanically fixed joints, sealed on every face including the undersides. Branded chairs with the artwork on the back panel, where a room is actually seen from. And trolleys matched to the specific chair rather than generic.

All of it is powder-coated in your colour, matched from a fired sample rather than a screen, and all of it carries non-marking glides as standard.

What we do not make

Bar stools, counter stools and any other fixed-height seating. Different tooling, different product, and there are specialists who do it properly.

Chair covers, spandex caps and sashes. Those are linen goods made by linen suppliers and fitted rather than built. We make the chair, not the cover.

And we will not print a weight capacity on a carton unless there is a test document behind it that we can send you.

The half of the purchase nobody quotes

A venue buys chairs once and moves them twice a week for a decade. Over five years, that labour is the larger number by a distance, and it is set by two figures that appear on almost no quote in this industry: how thick each chair is when folded, and how many go on a cart.

A chair that folds two centimetres thinner sounds like nothing until you multiply it across a stack of forty and discover one more cartload now fits through a standard doorway. We put both numbers on every quote, and occasionally they change which chair a customer buys.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the frame material, the gauge, the finish, the upholstery and the quantity. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one — and we will tell you honestly if the cheaper one is a rivet-pivot chair.

On branding

Back panel, every time. A room full of chairs is overwhelmingly seen from behind, a logo on the seat disappears the moment somebody sits down, and a folded chair hides the seat entirely.

Size the artwork to be read from the back of a hall rather than from arm’s length. That usually means opening the mark out and dropping fine detail. We redraw for the panel free and hold the file, so a top-up order in three years matches the fleet.
